Not sure if someone told you this already, but copper is better! Chemistry lesson time: It has the best heat conductivity of all the common metals. It's quite expensive though so makes sense on price.

My 3C hair straightens more easily if I don't blow it dry first. Blow dry = friz bomb. Air dry with right products = smoother textures that slide through flat iron more easily. Fun fact: Brad's products do smell AMAZING.

I understand why a hair stylist would be happy about the cordless aspect of it. But for everyday users, I don't see the point of it. We mostly do it in the washroom or bedroom, where we could find plugs near mirrors. Carrying extra battery weight will only be an arm workout - especially if it takes you more than 30 minutes to straighten.

Hey Brad, my natural hair is very similar to the hair that's on the mannequin you used in this video. I can never get my hair as straight as this. Not even on the highest setting! Kinks are always left and when it's hot or humid, the kinks and frizz return instantly and it is so frustrating! How can I stop this from happening?

I bought this and have to agree that it’s not smooth and does snag. I’ve never had issues with creases before but this is giving me lots of creasing. I’m thinking about returning it bc I don’t know that the cordless feature alone is worth $500

  36. Liana Rodrigues-Almeida

I have to admit... I have LOVED every Dyson product I have ever purchased/used. I have the cordless vacuum that was also expensive, in my opinion, and if had not been on sale, I would not have paid full price for it. I also have a portable Dyson air conditioner/fan/heater. I am very happy with both and have had them for many years with no issue. I think this flat iron looks really cool, I love the cordless. I agree with Brad that 30 minutes is fine, especially since you can plug it in if needed. The Dyson vacuum I have also only stays charged for about 25-30 minutes on the maximum suction setting, but also charges really fast, probably like this flat iron does, from what Brad seemed to say. I also agree that most flat irons that are built to last and really do the job efficiently, cost between $100.00 to maybe even $300.00, like Brad mentioned... But $500.00 is still A LOT MORE than even the best $300.00 flat iron and it seems the like the only thing your paying for is the cordless feature and the DYSON brand name. We expect Dyson to be overpriced, no matter what product they make, they are always very expensive, but most of the time, Dyson is pretty innovative and I think they are known for good quality. With everything considered... $500.00... WAY TOO MUCH for basically just being cordless and having slightly different plates. I wouldn't feel good about spending that much more for these few extra features. It needs a bit more... *°*Zaaa Zaaa ZOOOMMM*°*... to be worth that much $$$!!! LOL

This guy here being an expert in all the hair field saying that you can't take more than 1 hour straightening your hair is A LITTLE BIT non-inclusive. I mean he can't iron my curly, long, thick hair in less than 2 hours. If so, tell me how XD. He kind of shows where he's coming from when he says that's a very curly hair. Well, I'll just watch another channel.

Just an outfit review: this outfit makes his nose pop out, and not in an appealing way (if a nose can be appealing?). His head looks extra thin and long, wearing brown earrings is definitely a good choice as the vest already called so mush attention. Hair could have more pop to it, to bring the attention upwards towards his eyes and away from his nose. Rest looks good! -thumbs up-

Hmmm... I think I am the exception you gave for your 30-minute rule. Although my hair is not 4c curls, it doesn't like to flatten, and I am told I have more hair than 4 other heads of hair. I break clips, barrettes, and ponytail ties of all kinds. The bottom of my braid tonight is thicker than most people's entire ponytails. As a matter of fact, when I wear it in two braids, people tell me it is twice as thick as one of their braids. It takes me almost an hour and a half to just blow it dry on high heat setting and then about two hours to straighten it. I generally try to get out of hair salons before styling because I get really frustrated when a haircut and style take me three hours. My hair is hip length as I need the weight to keep somewhat controlled. It can also take me an hour and a half to blow it dry! :o I don't think a hairstylist has ever flattened my hair in 30 minutes.
